Glazed Carrots are most delicious when roasted in an easy and delicious cola glaze. In this case, I used Cheerwine, a North Carolina staple, but regular cola would be just as delicious.

Benefits of carrots

If you’re like most people, you probably think of carrots as a healthy food. And while that’s true, there are actually even more benefits to eating carrots than you might realize. Here are just a few of the reasons why you should make this orange veggie a staple in your diet.

Carrots are an excellent source of Vitamin A, which is essential for good vision

Eating carrots has been said to be one of the best ways to improve your vision. But why is that? Well, it turns out that carrots are incredibly high in Vitamin A, an essential nutrient responsible for improving eye health and vision – so don’t think twice before reaching out for another helping of this delicious root vegetable. Eating carrots may not give you the supernatural abilities of a superhero, but with their sources of Vitamin A, they will certainly help keep your sight sharp!

Carrots can help improve your digestion and regularity

With the new diets and crazes that have been popping up lately, have you ever wondered what the secret to a healthy lifestyle is? Well, here’s the scoop – carrots! Not only are they delicious, but they can also help improve your digestion and regularity. Carrots contain citric acid and malic acid, both of which support improved digestion by stimulating your salivary glands and stomach acid production. As if that wasn’t enough good news, eating raw or lightly steamed carrots also helps add fiber to your diet, which helps keep things moving along in the digestive department. So if you’re feeling sluggish after one too many cheat days or are just looking for an easy way to make sure your gut stays happy and healthy – why not give carrots a try?

Carrots are a low-calorie food, making them great for weight loss or maintenance

Carrots have long been a staple of any well-balanced diet, but they have an added bonus. Not only are they versatile, inexpensive and full of vitamins and minerals, but they’re also low-calorie, meaning if you’re trying to shed some pounds, carrot salads or snacks can certainly be included in your weight loss plan. No need to abstain when it comes to eating carrots – in fact, you should be encouraged! So let’s give these crunchy veggies the recognition they deserve for being a delicious way to help us stay fit and healthy. Best part? The more you eat them, the less guilty you’ll feel about it. Now that’s what we call a win-win situation!

The beta-carotene in carrots can help protect your skin from damage

They say that “An apple a day keeps the doctor away,” but did you know that carrots can basically make you immune to wrinkles and sunburns too? That’s right, the beta-carotene present in carrots acts like sunscreen for your skin – it helps protect it from damage like age spots, UV rays, and scarring. The anti-inflammatory properties of carrots also help soothe existing skin conditions like eczema and acne, making them a tasty and useful part of any skincare routine. So forget expensive creams, lotions, and serums – just add some freshly chopped carrots to your meal plan and your skin will thank you later!
